Making it in Media

Are you passionate about content creation, news, journalism, media, advertising or public relations?

If you're a student in Year 9, 10, 11 or 12, join us for our free Making it in Media workshop!

Ever wondered what it's really like to host a podcast, write newsworthy articles or work in TV? In this exciting full-day workshop, you'll dive deep into the dynamic worlds of design and content creation, news and media, and strategic communication.

This interactive, hands-on experience invites you to collaborate with other students and explore the diverse majors on offer when you study with Charles Sturt.

What to expect

  • Step into our brand-new TV studio and creative hub.
  • Get a taste of what it’s really like to work in media.
  • Take part in practical and fun workshop sessions.
  • Hear from our course director, leading academics and alumni and get your questions answered.

We’ve produced some of Australia’s biggest names in media, including Hamish McDonald, Mel Doyle and Tara Brown – and we'd love to help you kickstart a successful and rewarding career, too.

Our Bachelor of Communication degree has been co-designed and co-delivered by some of our distinguished alumni, as well as leading industry professionals – so we know a thing or two about the industry and we’d love to share our knowledge with you!
