Guaranteed room for most first year students

Most first-year students who apply are guaranteed a room on campus.

To be eligible for our first year accommodation guarantee if you're a domestic student, you'll need to complete your accommodation application before Thursday 31 October 2024.

If you’re an international student, you have until Tuesday 31 December 2024 to complete your accommodation application.

And heads up – popular options fill up quickly, so make sure you get in early.

Safe and supported

Living on campus is a home away from home. A place where you'll be safe and supported.

• Each dorm or block has its own Residential Leaders. These second or third year students all understand how new students feel and are ready to help. Whether it's to do with your studies, the residences or you just need to chat. And they'll know all the Charles Sturt support services that are available to you.
• Your room will be like your castle – only you will have the door card or key for entry.
• Studying late at night or on the weekends? You can request an escort from the security team. They chaperone you to your room or to the library or to your car. Let the security team know where you'll be and they can organise regular walk-bys.
• Lock yourself out? They'll let you back into your room.
• Our security teams are student-focused and regularly patrolled all campuses – 24/7. Blue emergency phones, which automatically connect to the security team, are also located around all campuses.
