Since its establishment in 1928, the Australian Dental Association New South Wales (ADA NSW) has been the leading advocate for the dental profession in NSW and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). Their vision is to foster the best dentists worldwide in a nation with the best oral health.

ADA NSW represents more than 65 per cent of dentists in NSW and the ACT, with a membership exceeding 5,000 dentists.

Course

The Graduate Diploma in Dental Implantology is an accredited diploma provided by the ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development and Charles Sturt’s School of Dentistry and Health Science.

The graduate diploma is an 18-month, part-time comprehensive program with detailed instruction, covering dental implant placement and restoration practice. This program will enhance your confidence in incorporating dental implant-supported prostheses for general dental practice.

To enter the course, you must meet the following criteria.

  • Hold current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as a dentist.
  • Have at least two years of postgraduate clinical experience.
  • Complete your co-requisite by the end of the first subject (DOH505). The ITI Certificate in Implant Dentistry Foundation Level can be undertaken through the ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development or online.
  • Demonstrate an interest in the use of dental implants.
  • Discuss previous restorative case experience.

Study location

All face-to-face modules are held at the ADA NSW Centre for Professional Development, located at L1, 1 Atchison Street St Leonards, NSW, 2065.

Important information

Please note that entry into the graduate diploma is only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents. Up to 22 participants will be selected via the written application and interview process.
