Start your university journey

You can choose to start your pathway into the Bachelor of Human Services, Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) with one of these options:

  • Apply for our Connections First Nations Direct Entry Program which could get you an offer straight into your preferred degree.
  • Enrol in the Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation. You will receive a conditional offer into your preferred degree when you enrol in the Undergraduate Certificate and this becomes a guaranteed offer on successful completion. Please note, for the Bachelor of Social Work you will also need to achieve an appropriate Higher English Language Proficiency (ELP) result.

The Bachelor of Human Services and Bachelor of Social Work degrees have a common first year, making it easy to transfer between them. You can also accelerate your studies in these two degrees with credit of 64 points for various relevant diplomas such as community services.

Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health)

This flexible First Nations course is specifically designed for mob mental health practitioners to align with the needs of the workforce, with a specific focus on contemporary health issues impacting our communities. Plus, you can exit after a year with a Diploma of Health Science (Mental Health).

Bachelor of Human Services

Support children in care, stand with those facing homelessness or addiction, and empower community wellbeing through mental health. Whatever path you choose, our human services degree gives you the skills, confidence, and heart to make a real difference.

Bachelor of Social Work

Create a meaningful career supporting First Nations people – whether it’s in youth justice, advocacy, community work, mental health, child protection, aged care, disability support, or corrections. Your path, your choice, your impact.

Get credit for previous study

Get recognition for the skills, knowledge and experiences you’ve acquired through work, life, training or self-directed study. Credit could reduce the duration and the total cost of the course you choose to study.

You can accelerate your studies in human services or social work with 64 credit points (one year of the degree) if you have a Diploma of Community Services or other human services diploma assessed as appropriate by the course director.
