Time commitment

35 weeks (approximately 320 hours in total and usually less than 10 hours per week). Progress with manageable fractional part-time load (25 per cent of full time). The schedule has been designed to fit around your existing teaching workload.

Entry requirements

To join this microcredential, you’ll need to provide evidence of teacher accreditation as well as a letter of endorsement from your school principal.

You will also need easy access to a computer and the internet, basic computer literacy skills and proficiency in English.

Course outcomes

On successful completion of this course, you'll get:

  • a digital microcredential badge
  • the skills to design and deliver inclusive, student-centred learning experiences using contemporary digital tools, including generative AI, across both online and face-to-face environments
  • the ability to apply pedagogical theories, research evidence and frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to guide effective and equitable teaching practices
  • the confidence to create curriculum-aligned lessons and programs that use digital technologies and generative AI to enhance access and learning for all students
  • experience in designing and evaluating digital learning artefacts that demonstrate purposeful and inclusive use of technology in K–12 education
  • a strong understanding of the safe, ethical and equitable use of digital technologies, with consideration for legal, social and policy implications across the school community
  • the capacity to critically assess emerging technologies and AI in education, identifying their potential benefits and the challenges they pose to teachers and learners
  • two subject credits (16pts) into the Graduate Certificate in Education or the Master of Education.
