You'll investigate the very essence of these influences, exposing the stark disparities that frequently emerge – disparities deeply rooted in factors like social class, gender and diverse cultural backgrounds. You'll also explore a range of initiatives designed to nurture and bolster community leadership and resilience – from formal institutional efforts to grassroots community collaborations.

  • critically analyse notions of community, community leadership and resilience
  • explore how social structures and human agency shape leadership and resilience in communities
  • apply theoretical concepts practically, to drive the development of effective community initiatives.
