You might be asking...
How do I make Charles Sturt my first preference in UAC/VTAC? chevron_right
In your UAC application you can list up to five courses; VTAC allows up to eight preferences. It's important that you arrange the courses in the order you’d most like to study them, as your preferences will be considered one at a time in the order you've listed them. So make sure the Charles Sturt course you most want to study is your first preference!
If you change your mind on what you want to study, you can go back into your UAC/VTAC application and update your preferences. There's no additional cost to change preferences and you can update as many times as you like.
What's an ATAR Advice Day? chevron_right
We're holding an online event when ATARs are released so that you can get the info and advice you need to take your next best step. Whether you get the grades you needed and want to know what to do next, or just missed out and want to know your options, we'll be on hand to help.
Just in case: what if I don't get the ATAR I need? chevron_right
Don't stress. We have plenty of admission pathways – and we can help you find the one that's right for you.
The Charles Sturt University Pathway is a free course (for all domestic students) that will give you guaranteed entry into most of our bachelor’s degrees in just 14 weeks of full-time study. Our Diploma of General Studies will give you both a diploma qualification and guaranteed entry into most of our courses, including education, computer science and IT degrees. Plus, credit for up to four subjects!
A TAFE or Vocational Education Training (VET) qualification can also give you guaranteed entry into most of our undergraduate courses.
Will I be able to study on campus in 2021? chevron_right
Yes! We will be running our on-campus courses in 2021. We have a comprehensive COVID-safe plan to ensure all safety requirements are in place. So you can apply as usual through UAC and VTAC for our on-campus courses. (And if you want to live on campus, that's available too - you can even start planning!) If things change and any courses need to be delivered online – even for a short time – we’ll let you know as soon as possible. More students choose to study online with us than any other university in Australia – so you're in safe hands. And if you want to study an online course, you can apply direct to Charles Sturt.

You apply direct to us if you want to study online. And it only takes around 15 minutes. We'll assess your application and, if everything checks out, send you an email with an offer. Then all you need to do is follow the acceptance link in your offer and enrol!
