Charles Sturt University highly values and recognises a range of overseas qualifications, and has developed advanced standing arrangements with institutions in various countries.

These arrangements enable students to fast track completing an Australian university degree.

Canada

Charles Sturt University has developed advanced standing arrangements with a number of colleges in Canada. These arrangements cover a broad range of courses, and enable Canadian college graduates to fast track completing an Australian University degree. Charles Sturt University is continually working to develop arrangements and formally recognise qualifications from colleges in Canada. If your institution or qualification is not listed, you may still be eligible for credit. Please apply online to have your qualification assessed for credit.

Qualification held

  • Successfully completed the Fleming College Diploma in Police Foundations and,
  • Successfully completed a police recruit training program at a recognised police recruit training college (e.g. Ontario Police College, RCMP Depot), and,
  • Three (3) years or more of experience as a sworn officer

  3. ‘Three-part Additional Qualifications   Specialist’ (recognised by the Ontario College of Teachers) will receive   credit represented as EDU51C Education Studies Level 5 subject (8 points).
  4. Two ‘Three-part Additional Qualifications   Specialist’ (recognised by the Ontario College of Teachers) will receive   transfer credit represented as EDU51C Education Studies Level 5 subject (16   points).
  5. ‘Honours Specialist in one area of   specialisation’ (recognised by the Ontario College of Teachers) will receive   transfer credit represented as EDU51C Education Studies Level 5 subject (8   points).
  6. ‘Honours Specialist in two areas of   specialisation’ (recognised by the Ontario College of Teachers) will receive   transfer credit represented as EDU51C Education Studies Level 5 subject (16   points).
