No matter where you're stationed in Australia, joining the NSW Police Force will provide a career opportunity where no two days are the same. You’ll save lives, protect people and build safer communities.

Here are the steps you'll need to take to join the NSW Police Force

Step 1: Complete and pass the NSW Police Force eligibility quiz.

Step 2: Make sure you meet the physical and medical requirements to apply.

Step 3: Check out the Session dates and apply for the University Certificate in Workforce Essentials (UCWE) which you can now finish online in just four weeks, at a cost of only $700 during 2023 (that’s a saving of $1028!). Once you receive your successful completion of the UCWE, you can proceed to the next step, which is applying for the Associate Degree in Policing Practice.

Step 4: Checkout the Session dates and study mode options. Apply for the ADPP. Accept your offer to enrol in the ADPP and commence Session 1. Session 1 is completed online - so you can maintain that study-life balance.

Step 5: Session 2 of the ADPP takes place at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn. Here you’ll get hands-on training in purpose-built facilities, to kick start your career as a police officer. Best of all, you’ll receive a $3000 allowance (paid in fortnightly installments).

Step 6: Now its time for Attestation, where you'll be sworn in as a Probationary Constable and work in the field.

Step 7: Complete one year of on-the-job training (Sessions 3, 4 and 5) and become confirmed as a Constable of the NSW Police Force.
