  • Will students still get an ATAR?

UAC, VTAC and other state tertiary admissions centres intend to calculate ATARs for Year 12 students this year. It is unclear at the moment whether or when Year 12 exams will go ahead. Like you, we’re working with government and will share any information we have as it comes to hand.

The New South Wales Education Standards Authority are certainly striving to ensure your students graduates high school - and get a place at uni. They strongly encourage your students to remain committed to completing the HSC in 2020, and they will be working with all universities and UAC to ensure that admission processes can adapt if any changes in Year 12 assessments are necessary.

So the message is, keep at it and we'll help your students get where they want to go.

  • What if COVID-19 affects student performance?

We’ll be working with UAC, VTAC and government departments on how to factor in the COVID-19 situation to ensure your students can reach their higher education goals.
