General

You can access your course immediately after completing your enrolment. Courses which are online with live sessions will have the start date listed in the course description. Please select any course in the catalogue to find out more about it.

When you register for a short course at Charles Sturt University, all of your learning materials are included in the course, so you do not have to incur any additional expenses.

You can always find active courses at CareerLab - My Account Login.

You can log in with your email address as your username.

Enrolment

As micro-credentials are considered a non-award form of study under TEQSA regulations, you will not be classified as a ‘student’ at the University.

Some courses may contain material that is not suitable for learners under the age of 18. This will be clearly identified in the course description.

Fees are expected to be paid upfront and cannot be deferred via FEE-HELP. HELP loans are only available to students undertaking award courses.

Course information

Our online course brochures provide a great overview of the course. If these don’t contain the information you are after, please email us at microcredentials@csu.edu.au and we will be in touch to provide you the information you need.

Your learning materials will be available online through Brightspace. We will refer to it as your course site and all the learning materials can be found there. The site includes:

  • course content
  • learning activities
  • revision quizzes
  • assessment details if applicable.

Upon successful completion of your microcredential or short course, you will receive a badge that contains a digital file with a graphic and embedded metadata. The badge can be shared digitally to demonstrate the skills you have gained from completing your course and your growing professional value to current and future employers.

Once you have completed all the requirements of the course, your digital badge will be emailed to you.

Login and accounts

When you register on the site, a life-long account is created.

You can update your password any time if you wish to do so via the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link on the login page.

To update your personal details, please login to your account and go to the ‘My Profile’ area.

Other

Yes, you can use your preferred device to log in to your account and access your courses.

Yes, you can log in to your learner’s account using your preferred Internet browser. However, we recommend you use the latest version of Google Chrome for a better experience.

You can sign up and register from anywhere in the world as there are no location restrictions if the courses do not include any on-campus face-to-face component.

To access and participate in any course, you will need to be connected to the internet.
