How it works
Our Charles Sturt Advantage early offer program is your chance to get into uni based on work you’ve already done and skills you already have. We'll look at two things: your Year 11 results and your soft skills. Soft skills are personal attributes that will help you succeed at study – and life. Things like communication skills, resilience, empathy, and motivation to create a world worth living in.
This is your chance to score an early offer to study with us in 2024 – before you sit your final exams.
- Choose from our wide range of on-campus and online courses.
- Take the pressure off with a guaranteed study offer.
- Be automatically considered for an exclusive Charles Sturt Advantage scholarship.
- Get exclusive support that will help you step into uni life full of confidence.
How to apply
To get the Advantage, you’ll complete an online application that shows us that you have the soft skills we’re looking for. Here are some points for you to start thinking about, so you can get a head-start on writing your application. Tell us:
- How a Charles Sturt degree will enable you to be a positive influence in your community.
- When you showed resilience during a difficult time.
- A time when you demonstrated empathy and why you took the actions you did

I won’t be receiving an ATAR. Can I apply? chevron_right

How is the Charles Sturt Advantage different from the Schools Recommendation Scheme? chevron_right
The Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS) focuses exclusively on your academic achievements to date and doesn’t consider your other skills, experience and attributes. Another key difference is the Charles Sturt Advantage early offer program gives you the opportunity to meet new friends, lecturers and experience what uni is like through our dedicated support program. You’ll also receive guidance through the remainder of your Year 12 studies when you have the Advantage.
