FAQs

Current applicants

  • I’ve applied to the early offer program, what do I do now?

Great! You just need to complete the last step on your way to the Advantage.

If you’re getting an ATAR this year and want to study on campus: Submit your UAC or VTAC application, ensuring you select your Charles Sturt Advantage early offer program course as your highest preference.

Everyone else*: Apply direct to Charles Sturt for your early offer program course.

*School leaver wanting to study online, school leaver not getting an ATAR, non-school leaver.

  • Do I need to list my early offer program course on my UAC/VTAC preference list?

Yes! Your Charles Sturt Advantage early offer program course should be your highest preference. If you list a different course above your early offer program course, you might receive an offer for the higher preferenced course and miss out on your early offer with Charles Sturt.

  • What if my early offer course isn’t my #1 course?

You should put the course you most want to do as your first UAC/VTAC preference. If you receive a conditional offer through the Charles Sturt Advantage early offer program for a course that is not your first preference, make sure it is on your list of preferences. Then if you don’t get your #1 course, you can still receive an offer for the course we sent you the early conditional offer for.

  • I didn’t get my first choice for my Charles Sturt Advantage early offer course. Can I still preference that course in UAC/VTAC?

Yes, you can still preference both courses in UAC/VTAC. Remember you’ll need to include the course we gave you an early conditional offer for, otherwise we won’t be able to give you a firm offer for it via UAC/VTAC.

  • Do I still need to meet all course requirements?

Yes, you’ll need to make sure that you’ve met all course entry requirements in order to begin studying.

  • What happens if I don't get an offer?

Don’t stress – there are other ways to get into uni. You’ll still be considered for entry to Charles Sturt University via the normal UAC/VTAC process during other rounds.

  • Can I defer my early offer?

Yes. As long as your course normally allows for deferrals (this is the case for almost all our undergrad courses).
