Moving to a new country is exciting, but also requires a lot of organisation. As you plan to move to Australia we have some important information to share with you to make your transition as easy as possible.
The main things you need to organise before you arrive include:
- arranging a student visa
- understanding the Australian immigration and customs regulations
- buying health insurance
- arranging your accommodation
- researching the cost of living in Australia and planning your budget.
You may also have questions about bringing your family, and how to find part-time work. It is important that you are aware of your rights and responsibilities as an international student in Australia according to the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS).
Once you have accepted your offer and received your Confirmation of Enrolment (eCOE) you will receive a welcome letter with the contact details of your International Student Liaison Officer (ISLO) and a link to a printable pre-departure guide. Your ISLO is available to assist you with any questions about your arrival, your campus city, your accommodation options, and your orientation week program.
