- To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed Year 10, or have work experience that demonstrates the development of literacy, numeracy and entry level professional skills. Applicants must be 18 years old or turning 18 years old in year of enrolment.

The foundation option is the Pathway course designed for you. Brush up on your maths, learn about studying successfully, develop your reading, researching and writing skills, and build your digital literacy abilities.
- Tailored for your future
With the Charles Sturt University Pathway course streams option you’ll improve your foundational academic literacy and numeracy skills. Study two humanities subjects if you aspire to a career in education, social sciences or business. If a career in science or allied health is how you see yourself making a difference, then choose the science subjects to brush up on foundational science knowledge such as biology, chemistry, physics, and biosciences to set you up for first year study.

Whichever path you take to prepare for uni with Charles Sturt, how you study is up to you. We’re flexible – that means you can study however suits you. Full-time or part-time. On campus or online – or a mix of both. Start in March or July. It’s your choice!

For each 8-point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, intensive schools, or examinations.
