2020 MMI Interviewer Expressions of Interest
Welcome to the School of Rural Medicine at Charles Sturt University (CSU). The selection process for medicine includes attending a Multi-station Mini Interview (MMI). The MMI involves applicants undergoing eight short interviews with one interviewer at each station. The School requires a number of volunteers from the local community, university staff, medical practitioners and health care professionals to participate at the interviews which will be held from 16th to 20th November 2020. In consideration of COVID-19 restrictions our interviewers will be on Campus and our applicants will attend via Zoom.
If you would like to interview for us this year; please submit this form by 18th September, 2020.
INTERVIEWER ELIGIBILITY If you are aware of a professional or personal relationship with anyone who is applying to the CSU Medicine program in 2021, you are not eligible for consideration.
TRAINING: If you are successful in being selected as an interviewer, there will be training held via Zoom. We will contact you via email with details, including what to expect, dates and times of training and a Zoom link. It is anticipated training will be held mid/late October 2020.
Interviewer training sessions cover the principles of behavioural interviewing, the technique used by the School of Rural Medicine to run the Multi-station Mini Interviews (MMI's). All new interviewers are required to undertake interviewer training to be qualified to select future medical students, and re-training every two years is required for existing interviewers to maintain interview quality.
