Designed to maximise learning applications from a personal and professional perspective, the Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership and Resilience will enhance your knowledge and challenge the way you think.

  • Take on as many or as few subjects as you need

    Think of our industry-aligned micro-subjects like building blocks. Choose one or two micro-subjects that will complete the required skill set for the job at hand. Add micro-subjects as needed and stack them together to complete a customised degree that will qualify people for the jobs of tomorrow. If you are looking to accelerate your career, you can complete the graduate certificate in one year. Micro-subjects can be two or four points. Each micro-subject runs across an eight-week session. A two-point micro-subject will require approximately 35 hours of study and a four-point micro-subject will required approximately 70 hours. The graduate certificate requires 32 points.

  • Study online and face-to-face

    Enjoy the freedom of fully supported online study, coupled with strategically selected face-to-face workshops on topics like community organising, citizen juries, campaign planning and budgeting. Our workshops will also be a great networking opportunity – a chance to meet leading academics, industry experts and others who share a passion for community resilience, while applying what you learn online in a practical and engaging group setting. The location, time and venue of our face-to-face workshops will be guided by the locations of students in each micro-session. The graduate certificate can be completed fully online if necessary.

Our Graduate Certificate in Community Leadership and Resilience is made up of a series of two-point and four-point micro-subjects.

  • Two-point micro-subjects: $600
  • Four-point micro-subjects: $1200
  • Study the micro-subjects as standalone subjects, or complete 32 points to be awarded your graduate certificate.

Subjects

For each two-point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to complete all of the work required in approximately 35–40 hours, over the eight-week micro-session. Comparably, a four-point subject would require 70–80 hours of total work over the eight-week micro-session.
